W1: Resilient people quest for godliness

There are no short cuts in life. There is nothing that can replace the discipline of practice before a musician can play a beautiful piece of music. There is no substitute for the strict discipline in training if an athlete wants the stamina to run the extra mile. Likewise, every Christian needs to cultivate spiritual disciplines if he wants to embark on a lifelong quest for lifelong godliness. In this workshop, be inspired to cultivate spiritual disciplines in the midst of our fast –paced and instant society.

W2: Resilient people honor God with their relationships

Relationships are a gift from God, but sadly due to our poor choices, Christians can end up stumbling in sin and grieving God. This workshop will help you understand how to set healthy boundaries in a growing relationship, identify some common stumbling blocks and most importantly learn how you can honor God in your (current or future) relationships.

W3: Resilient people get up when they fall

Depending on how we process through the hurts in our lives, our past can affect us for the worst or for the better. God wants to bring about an inner healing in our lives where we can walk in freedom. Learn how we can master our emotions and grow in Christian maturity as we depend on God to bring healing to our hearts in spite of life’s disappointments.

W4: Resilient people fight their inner giants

There is no temptation which can overtake us except what is common to man (1 Corinthians 10:13). No one, including Christians is spared from temptations and addictions around us. However, the good news is that we can depend on God’s faithfulness and power to say ‘No’ to pitfalls such as sexual temptations, ungodly habits and addictions. Come learn how to fight your inner giants and walk in the freedom that Christ has intended for us.

W5: Resilient people stand firm in a world of compromise

We live in a world, which worships power, fame and wealth. As Christians, it is tempting to compromise for results than to stand firm in biblical convictions. How can we manage life’s priorities in a way that honors God? How can we become a good testimony both in this world and the kingdom of God we belong to? This workshop will help you learn how to make wise decisions in this gray world.

W6: Resilient people reach their family

Feeling fearful and alone as the only Christian in your home? Have you given up hope that God can bring salvation in your household? God can use you to be the light that shines brightly at home and draw your family members to Him through you. Come find out how you can build better relationships with your family and trust God to use you to bridge the love of Christ to your family members.

W7: Resilient people are good stewards

We live in a culture that is permeated by consumerism. Sadly, as Christians, we too can fall into the trap of self-gratification in the pursuit of material possessions. This workshop seeks to give you a biblical view of stewardship and suggests practical steps to be a good steward of God’s resources.

W9: Resilient people impact their world: Called as a missionary

Are you wondering if you have what it takes to be a missionary? Come find out from missionaries who have served cross-culturally and discover what it takes to be a resilient missionary. This workshop will help you better understand the myths, challenges and realities on the mission field.

W10: Resilient people impact their world: Called as a Marketplace missionary

Not all are called to serve God in vocational Christian ministry. Most are called to perform our work in the marketplace as bankers, engineers, teachers, etc. Just as how God chose Daniel to serve the kings of Babylon, we too are God’s representatives in the marketplace. This workshop explores how we can prepare ourselves to be marketplace missionaries despite the challenges in the marketplace.

W11: Resilient people impact their world: Called as a teacher

This seminar explores the impact a teacher can have in influencing a generation where family breakups, crime, premarital sex and addictions are rampant. In addition, speaker Samuel Lim, a teacher in a local school will share about the day-to-day aspects of a teacher’s life – the joys and frustrations, politics and work-life balance. Practical steps will also be suggested on how one can explore and prepare for a calling as a teacher.
